Richard After getting these headphones i was eager to test them right away with my phone (samsung s4) and i have to say i was really disappointed with the sound that i experienced, i didn't hear almost any bass and overall a very tin can sound. I have other medium priced sony in-earbuds and they were better sounding i thought.
I almost gave up on them BUT when i removed the stay fit wings it was a whole different experience. I my case i've tried al the wings that come with the box and none of them did any good to the sound. But without them the sound is really good ! The mids and highs are very clear and the bass is pronounced but not to overwhelming.
So my tip for people who think these don't sound well, try removing the stay fit-wings and see how they sound.
Another thing to point out is that i can't control the volume with my android phone, i can answer phonecalls and pause and resume the music but the volume rockers don't work for me. So that's why i give 4 stars.
All in all good headphones and i'm happy with the purchase

Brian Was looking for quality earbuds to run with. There is literally no bass in these, at all. My mono phone speaker has higher sound quality. The earbuds that come with a new phone sound better. DO NOT BUY if you appreciate lows and mids in your music because you will not hear it with these. Side-by-side comparison with my current cheap sport earbuds is no comparison at all. My cheapies beat these hands-down. On the plus side, they look nice. Just wish SMS would put as much attention on the sound quality as they did the appearance.

Nate14 Got these recently and I just love em'! I bought the SMS wireless by 50 over a year ago and they're great! It feels good to have both high quality over-ear and in-ear headphones by SMS Audio.
